The IDF conducted extensive strikes on Hamas military targets in northern Gaza and also targeted Hezbollah’s positions along the Israel-Lebanon border on October 21. In these operations, Mabduh Shaalabi, a Hamas special naval forces operative, was killed. Israel’s retaliation has resulted in the neutralization of more than 1,000 terrorists, and the IDF’s ultimate goal is to dismantle the top leadership of Hamas. Earlier airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force targeted Hamas headquarters in Gaza, leading to the elimination of senior Hamas operatives, including individuals like Osama Mazini, Muetaz Eid, and Ayman Nofal. Israeli fighter jets have demolished over 250 military targets in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Hamas claimed to be holding more than 200 hostages in Gaza, but the IDF confirmed the safe release of two US citizens, Judith Tai Raanan and Natali Raanan, on October 20.
