Commissioner Sanjay Sripatarao Katkar, of the Municipal Corporation, was present along with guidance. Various state and national-level companies/firms have successfully implemented innovative projects/plans based on water conservation, sanitation, solid waste management, environment, gardens, and social development. In this context, Commissioner Aniket Manorkar, Commissioner Dr. Sambhaji Panpatte, Deputy Commissioner Maruti Gayakwad, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Pawar, Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Shinde, Deputy Commissioner Kalpita Pimpale, City Engineer Dipak Khambit, Executive Engineer (Water Supply) Sharad Nanegavkar, Executive Engineer (Construction) Nitin Mukane, Deputy Commissioner Kavita Borkar, as well as officials from the respective departments, were present at this innovative workshop.
Focusing on permanent development and novelty, various projects, plans, water supply, gardens, lakes, and solid waste management in the Mir-Bhayandar city were viewed in light of future requirements. Furthermore, various questions challenging the city and providing excellent civic amenities to the citizens were addressed through modern and innovative technological assistance to promote sustainable development of the city. The workshop was organized with the participation of 25 companies, who contributed relevant expertise and modern tools for the city’s development.
Some of the knowledge presented during the workshop was found to be useful, and several participants expressed their views positively, emphasizing the practical application of this knowledge. Alongside traditional methods, using modern technology for city development and providing civic amenities to the citizens is the need of the changing times, as expressed by some of the attendees. Commissioner has expressed his gratitude by commending this initiative. At the end of the program, Commissioner and the present officials initiated a signature campaign, urging the administrative staff to fill the city’s sustainable development with new ideas and technological assistance.
