Harish Pant, a 27-year-old college dropout, was apprehended 100km from Dehradun after an extensive 10-day pursuit spanning Mumbai, Nashik, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The Saki Naka police arrested him as the 18th suspect in the massive Rs 305 crore drug bust involving 151kg of mephedrone at the Shree Ganeshay Pharmaceuticals unit in Nashik. Referred to as “Doctor” due to his expertise in drug manufacturing, Pant was found to have aided the setup of drug production machinery in multiple locations, including the MMR region, Nashik, and Pune, as revealed during the investigation by the Sakinaka police.
