midst an outpouring of collective grief, a somber atmosphere enveloped the quaint village of Pimpalgaon Sarai, nestled within the precincts of Buldhana district, as a sea of mourners congregated at the residence of the late Agniveer (Operator) Gawate Akshay Laxman. Revered as the first Agniveer to make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, he valiantly served on the treacherous terrain of the illustrious Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world.
Today, as the poignant procession carries his mortal remains back to his abode, the poignant scenes witness an unwavering display of solidarity and support, with hundreds of individuals from far and wide converging to offer solace and comfort to the bereaved kin, sharing in their sorrow on this heart-rending culmination of his life’s journey.
