The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is embarking on a comprehensive initiative to enhance the urban transit experience with the implementation of the Multi Modal Integration (MMI) plan along the route of Mumbai Metro Line 2B, stretching from DN Nagar to Mandale. This ambitious endeavor comes with a substantial investment of Rs 223 crore, underscoring the authority’s commitment to fostering efficient and seamless connectivity within the city.
In its strategic approach, the MMRDA is meticulously focusing on last-mile connectivity, aiming to create a well-integrated transportation ecosystem within a 250-meter radius of each of the 20 stations along Metro Line 2B. To ensure a systematic and effective execution of this plan, the authority has intelligently divided it into four packages, each encompassing five stations. This division allows for a targeted and phased implementation, addressing the unique connectivity needs of different sections along the metro corridor.
